My musical journey began incredibly early, at just 18 months old, my mother discovered that I was able to play melodies of songs I heard a church. Under the tutelage of my mother, Ruby H. McCray, I was trained to master classical and gospel piano from 1976 to 1988. In 1988, my talents earned me a track scholarship to the University of Texas at Arlington, where I not only graduated with a BBA in Finance but also claimed NCAA All-America and conference championship honors.
